Working on the bookfield was probably the most liberating experience of my life. It allows you great range of emotion. At the time they told me this would make the rest of my life easier. Of course, I didn’t believe them, and of course they were right. I recently spoke with an alum from the 70′s who told me that nothing in his life had been harder than selling books, and he’s been through a lot. I can constantly see the impact the lessons I learned have had on my marriage and my parenting.
