…thank you for allowing me to attend Sales School for Monday and Tuesday AM sessions. I am sure Logan told you that I am now a reformed skeptic about Southwestern! I wish EVERY family had the books and with so many Southwestern salespeople knocking on so many doors—that wish is being fulfilled one summer at a time! I was very impressed with the classroom management and teaching style of the sessions, but even more excited to see all of the college kids pumped up and eager about this new and challenging experience. And these were kids from OTHER COUNTRIES!!! No wonder Logan sticks with Southwestern–what a tremendous positive energy from everyone! I am so proud that he has taken the challenge and enjoys it! I wish you a great summer and again, thank you for everything!

I am a professor who has a passion for engineering united with a passion for developing our students into top tier professionals. I am going to advocate that you encourage your engineering students to sell for Southwestern (SW). Note that (a) I sold for Southwestern in 1973, (b) my son (will graduate in Spring 2008 with a BSME) sold for Southwestern in 2005 & 2006 (this summer he is interning w/ HP), and (c) I have no connection with SW other than I am advocate based on my past experiences. While, an engineering student who sells for SW will not directly improve their calculus, their transport processes, or their solid mechanics, there is value that is engineering relevant. So if you value engineers who are self-directed, enthusiastic, who can problem solve, communicate and work effectively with people, I urge you to support students who recognize the value of working with SW.

Last May he called from school (University of Richmond), and told us of his summer plans…. My husband thought he was insane, and wanted to veto it. I thought he was insane, and knew once he’d decided on something, it would be hard to budge him. I asked him to research your company for the “cons” as well as the “pros”. He did. I spent countless hours searching for one bad thing about Southwestern on the internet. I found, instead, many positive testimonials. The skeptic (me) has reluctantly (because I’m always right), come to the realization that this has been an incredibly valuable experience for my son, and will remain valuable throughout his lifetime. He will be a better judge of people, more organized, more focused, more determined, and (if possible) more able to see the brighter day just ahead.
